Adam Rose

curator, ecology/technology dance series

Adam Rose will be curating a performance series on the theme “Ecology/Technology,” featuring Smiley Thims, Charles Mahaffee, Carole McCurdy and others, to be presented in late summer.  Adam is also collaborating with Jose Hernandez to create a new Antibody Dance work to be premiered at HCL, 100 Sigils (working title).  100 Sigils will be a cyber-shamanic ritual, situated on the axis of Taurus and Scorpio, designed to bombard a depopulated earth in hopes of contacting Universe B.


Artist Bio:

Adam is the Artistic Director of Antibody Dance, a company specializing in movement arts and occult research.  He is a graduate of Antioch College (2008), where he earned a B.A. in Dance/Theater. He has shown work at many venues and events in Chicago including the MDW Fair, DEFIBRILLATOR, Garbage World, the 1901 Gallery/Theatre, praxis place, and in Mexico at the Festival de Teatro Susana Alexander.  He was awarded a 2009 LinkUp Artist Residency and is currently a 2011 Chicago Dancemakers Forum Greenhouse artist.  Antibody Dance recently received a grant from the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation.
