Winter 2019 Intensive Artist Shonna Pryor invites HCL residents and alumni to participate in a Sunday Dinner-style potluck. The dinner gathering will consist of four selected visual artists in a loosely moderated conversation about the relationship between Chicago Police and people of color. The dinner will take place on a Sunday (tentatively late September / early October) at Mana Contemporary Chicago.
Potential participants may apply by submitting 5 images and a paragraph about their thoughts on the subject of the relationship between the Chicago Police Department and people of color. Email Shonna Pryor at firstname.lastname@example.org with your submissions.
Shonna Pryor currently teaches at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she earned an MFA from the Painting and Drawing department, and holds a BFA in Fiber from The College for Creative Studies, Detroit. She is a recipient of the Archibald Motley Jr. Award and has exhibited locally and nationally including Woman Made Gallery, Chicago; G R N’Namdi Gallery, Detroit; and Abrazo Interno Gallery, New York, among others.
