Spring 2017 Sponsored Artists Mozawa have created A DREAM PLAY – an explorative reimagining of Strindberg’s classic, biting look at humanity through Expressionism and Surrealism.
Twelve artists from several mediums will collaborate together to create an interdisciplinary version of A DREAM PLAY.
Founded in March of 2013 by Matthew Ozawa, Mozawa is a Chicago based incubator advancing collaborative art and artists. Mozawa provides artists from many artistic disciplines and cultural backgrounds an opportunity to develop their unique voice through collaboration with others. Mozawa also includes the audience in the creative process,exposing artistic development, fostering unity among different artistic disciplines, and spreading culture throughout the community.
Since its formation, Mozawa has fostered over 100 international artists from various mediums. Mozawa has been featured in Crain’s Business Magazine for its boundary-breaking work, the Mandarin Quarterly for its focus on diversity and at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art. Mozawa has partnered with other Chicago organizations including Ho Etsu Taiko Ensemble, Chicago Harp Quartet, Bow & Hammer, Mind.Art.Core Pilates, Outerspace Dance, and Collaboraction.
